Who am I?

In May 2005, with over 30 years experience as a welder in Scotland (including 15 years as a college lecturer), I moved to Castelnaudary in the Aude département of France with my partner and I now run a small metalwork/welding business here. Over the past 4 years I have built up a steady business - mainly through word-of-mouth and personal recommendation from satisfied clients - and have worked on projects across the south-west of France (in the Aude, Ariège, Haute Garonne, Hérault and Pyrénées-Orientales départements).

My clients are a mix of American, Australian, Belgian, British, Dutch, French, German, Irish, Norwegian and South African - but they all have one thing in common . . . they love this corner of south-west France.

What do I do?

I offer a personalized service in most aspects of metalwork and can deal with all sorts of jobs from a small welding repair on your barge on the Canal du Midi, to making and installing a fence for your swimming pool, a spiral staircase, a pergola for your garden or a metal objet d'art sculpture to whatever specification you can dream up.

This list is, of course, not exhaustive as I've made a lot of one-off personal items for clients including a lovely minstrel's gallery railing in the music-room of clients, with music notes for one of their favourite songs.
